Update on the whole Easton's hearing thing...

Okay, so went to the ENT on the 26 of February and he was wonderful! First, we had to do another audiological and to say the least, I was a little nervous because Easton was a real BEAR for the last one. But, as God always does...He answered that prayer and Easton was great! This one was not nearly as long, but he did a lot better and the results were pretty much the same. She actually thought his hearing was a little worse this time, but agreed the fluid was terrible and she felt like he probably had an ear infection right then! (Jason and I had been thinking that for the past day or two--but knew we were coming there...so we just waited.) When we got into see the Dr, he was great. He played with Easton and Elle and when he finally looked at Easton's ears..he said "YUCK!!" He did say that Easton had an ear infection right then...and said that tubes were not even a question...his hearing is terrible and the fluid is terrible--tubes it is! We told him that we had been praying about that being the answer...and he said he loved being the answer to prayers. SO...Easton is getting tubes on the 30th of this month. March 30th. Dr. Garb felt like the tubes would help with the hearing...he couldn't promise it would fix it, but he was optimistic. He agreed Easton could hear--because of how he interacted in the room with us, but when he heard him talk--he said, "wow, he is under water!" He explained that he is hearing like he has his fingers in his ears all the time...so he can hear....it is just muffled. That makes sense. We are still praying for God's provision in this--Easton is an amazing little boy with such an amazing spirit! He has already overcome so much in his short little life--we just can't wait to see what God has in store for him!!
